Flucamed 200mg Capsules (Fluconazole) x10

$55 $67.1
Flucamed 200mg Capsules contain fluconazole, a potent antifungal medication used to treat various fungal infections. This systemic antifungal is effective against a wide range of fungal pathogens and is used for both treatment and prevention of fungal infections. Uses Flucamed is used to treat fungal infections including vaginal candidiasis, oral thrush, cryptococcal meningitis, and certain systemic fungal infections. It’s also used to prevent fungal infections in immunocompromised patients. Benefits Effective against a wide range of fungal infections Can be used for both treatment and prevention Single-dose treatment available for some conditions Systemic action treats infections throughout the body Generally well-tolerated with fewer side effects than some other antifungals Can be used in both adults and children Available in oral form for convenient administration How it works Fluconazole, the active ingredient in Flucamed 200mg, works by inhibiting the growth of fungi. It interferes with the production of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased cell permeability and eventual cell death of the fungi. Dosage The dosage of Flucamed varies depending on the type and severity of the infection. For vaginal candidiasis, a single 200mg dose may be sufficient. For other infections, the typical dosage is 200-400mg daily for several days to weeks. Always follow your doctor’s prescription for dosage and duration of treatment. Side Effects Common side effects may include nausea, headache, skin rash, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and dizziness. If you experience severe side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately. Warning Flucamed should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. It may cause QT prolongation in some patients, potentially leading to irregular heartbeats. Pregnant women should use this medication only when clearly needed, as it may harm an unborn baby. Important Interactions Flucamed may interact with: Warfarin and other blood thinners Certain antidiabetic medications Some anticonvulsants Certain HIV medications Cisapride Erythromycin Important Information Take Flucamed exactly as prescribed. Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve earlier. This medication may affect liver function, so periodic liver function tests may be necessary during long-term use. If you’re using it for vaginal candidiasis, avoid sexual intercourse or use barrier contraception during treatment. Fluconazole can make birth control pills less effective, so additional contraceptive measures may be needed.
