While I bought the seed elsewhere, I can recommend the blue flax for Riverside County unty, Calif. I sowed around an almond tree and had great success. I believe the blue flax is native to our state. I often harvested a few seeds to munch on as I gardened. It’s high is Omega 3, which is ann essentual fatty acid that is rarer in plant based diets. I’ve seen older cultures harvest the blue flax for fiber too. It’s quite a process, but an option if you wish to do so. I consider a patch of blue flax a must iny cool season garden in S. Calif
